Bulk Handling Systems acquires sorting technology company Nihot
The US-based sorting technology company Bulk Handling Systems (BHS) announced on 28 January that it had acquired the Dutch company Nihot Recycling Technology BV for an undisclosed sum. Nihot designs and manufactures air sorting and separation equipment for the solid waste and recycling industries. The companies, which have been partners for a number of years, would now combine their technology, product offerings, global resources and expertise, according to a joint statement from Nihot and BHS.
With its sorting systems and components, BHS reports that it serves the solid waste, recycling, waste to energy and construction and demolition sectors, notably providing the technology for some of the largest sorting plants. Last year, Sita UK announced that it had selected BHS to supply sorting equipment for four new facilities.
