Imtech wins contract for Polish waste processing plant

Dutch engineering company Imtech N.V. has secured a €77 million order for supplying the technology for a waste processing plant near Warsaw, Poland. Imtech was commissioned by Finalsa S.A. at the end of 2011, the company announced last week. The plant to be built near the Polish capital will have an annual processing capacity of up to 120,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste (MSW) and will produce biogas, recyclable materials and waste-derived fuels, according to Imtech.
