Roeland Baan new EAA chairman

Roeland Baan has been appointed the new chairman of the European Aluminium Association (EAA). He succeeds Tadeu Nardocci and will chair the organisation until the end of 2015.

Mr Baan has been Executive Vice President of Aleris International since April 2008 and is responsible for Aleris’ Global Rolled and Extruded Products business unit. Mr Baan, who holds a Master's degree in economics, has previously served in management roles at Mittal Steel Europe, SHV Gas BV and Thyssen Sonnenberg Recycling GmbH (TSR).
