19.10.2011 −

Toyota Motor Europe has entered into a battery recycling agreement with the French company Société Nouvelle d’Affinage des Métaux (SNAM). The three-year framework agreement (2011-2014) will enable Europe-wide take-back and recycling of high voltage nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries, the automobile manufacturer announced on Monday. Around 370,000 Toyota and Lexus full hybrid vehicles equipped with NiMH batteries were sold in Europe since 2000, according to the car group.
