Germany recovered paper prices steady after the holidays

16.01.2013 −

Prices for recovered paper in Germany are generally still on the same level as in December. Only prices for sorted graphic paper for deinking have seen a slight downward shift of €5/t, although this trend could already be discerned in December in individual cases. Prices for higher grades also remained unchanged.

In the Far East export market, prices for supermarket paper and board reportedly increased slightly. However, demand is not yet seen to be particularly strong. In the domestic market, recovered paper arisings at the beginning of the year were high due to seasonal factors.

The full report for the German recovered paper market will be published in EUWID Recycling and Waste Management 2/2013.
