The European Electronics Recyclers Association (EERA) will see a change in leadership in spring 2026. The association announced on Wednesday that Julie-Ann Adams will step down as CEO and leave EERA on 31 March.
Ms Adams has headed the association since January 2022. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening EERA’s position within the sector, raising its profile and supporting members through a period of substantial regulatory and strategic change. In its statement, the board paid tribute to her contribution while saying it was "naturally sorry to see her step down".
Ms Adams will continue to support the association during the transition period. To ensure continuity, she will oversee an orderly handover and assist with the initial stages of the search for her successor, according to the organisation's board.
Ms Adams is also resigning from her position as secretary general of the European Battery Recycling Association (EBRA), with effect from 7 February 2026. She had succeeded Alain Vassart in the role in late 2023. Here, too, Ms Adams is expected to be involved in the recruitment process and the transition to the association's new leadership.
