Aurubis AG reported lower revenues and a significant drop in earnings from its recycling activities in the first quarter of the 2022/23 business year. According to figures published on 6 February, the Multimetal Recycling segment posted turnover of €1.32bn in the three months ended 31 December, representing a decline of 9 per cent compared with the prior-year comparison period. Operating earnings before tax (EBT) in the segment plummeted from €83m to €35m.
