The Canadian battery recycler Li-Cycle almost doubled its 2021 turnover last year. The company posted revenues of $13.4m (around €12.49m) for 2022, according to financial statements published at the end of January. The prior year's turnover figure had been more than $6m less. While achieving a dramatic increase in revenue, the recycler also saw its net loss swell considerably. For 2022, it posted a loss of over $100m, where it had only been around $26m the year before. According to Li-Cycle, the higher loss in 2022 was largely the result of increased personnel and network development costs in connection with the company's growth and expansion. ...
