Borealis launches recycling feasibility study in Indonesia

Austrian plastics producer Borealis and Emirati petrochemicals company Borouge have launched a feasibility study together with local partners to assess the construction of a new greenfield recycling facility for plastics in East Java, Indonesia, according to an announcement issued on last week.

The project brings Borealis and Borouge together with the Indonesian recycler Pelita Mekar Semesta and waste management company Reciki Solusi Indonesia. The initiative is being financed by the Catalytic Finance Foundation as part of the Subnational Climate Fund. No details regarding the potential capacity of the recycling facility were disclosed....
