Borealis puts major plastics recycling project in Austria on hold

Borealis has shelved plans to build a large-scale mechanical recycling plant for waste plastics at its Schwechat site outside of Vienna, Austria. The polyolefin producer told EUWID that an internal review had shown the facility would not be able to meet its performance targets under present market conditions.
