In view of the planned tightening of EU waste shipment legislation, German recycling and waste management industry association Bvse underlined the negative consequences that it would entail for the recovered paper sector. At the organisation's International Recovered Paper Conference in Stuttgart, Germany last week, Bvse Vice President Werner Steingaß stressed that over the last few months, recovered paper exports had once again proven to be an indispensable outlet for surplus volumes. The EU Waste Shipment Regulation, the proposed Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and end of waste status for recovered paper were further key topics discussed at the industry event....
