Lucrèce Foufopoulos-De Ridder has decided to leave her executive roles at Austrian plastics and chemicals company Borealis at the end of the year to pursue other career opportunities. Ms Foufopoulos-De Ridder, currently Executive Vice President of Polyolefins, Circular Economy Solutions and Innovation & Technology at Borealis and a board member at the petrochemicals company Borouge Pte, will step down from both those roles effective 31 December 2023, said Borealis on Tuesday. The company did not say when her successor might be named.
Ms Foufopoulos-De Ridder has served on the Borealis executive board since 2019 and "brought a strong focus on circularity and innovation" to her work there, said the chemicals company. She has also served as a steering board member of industry umbrella body Plastics Europe. Prior to her time at Borealis, she amassed more than two decades of global professional experience within the specialty chemical and petrochemical industry, the company said.
