Acea Ambiente, a subsidiary of the Italian utility group Acea, is the only bidder for a project to build and operate a waste-to-energy (wte) plant in Rome, leading a consortium of national and international partners. According to Rome's municipal government, Roma Capitale, which is responsible for the invitation to tender, this is the sole bid that it received prior to the 18 May deadline.
Acea Ambiente's partners are the Swiss plant engineering company Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), the civil engineering company Vianini Lavori, the Italian waste treatment and sorting technology provider RMB, and Suez Italy.
