International shipping line CMA CGM has tightened its booking procedures for metal scrap shipments to Malaysia in an effort to "reinforce compliance with Malaysian regulations" which forbid imports of e-scrap.
Following reports of incorrectly declared shipments of e-waste discovered in Malaysia, the company had introduced a new control measure and as part of continued efforts to "uphold regulatory compliance, enhance import control, and ensure accuracy of declared materials entering the country"....
