The plastic producer Covestro is moving forward with the chemical recycling of polycarbonate using chemolysis, a process that can recycle waste streams containing more than 50 per cent polycarbonate into monomers. The technology is now being implemented on a pilot scale in Leverkusen, Germany. "On the way to industrial scale, the process is still being optimised and is undergoing further development stages," Covestro said in mid-August....
