The French scrap recycling and services group Derichebourg completed the financial year 2010/11 with double-digit growth in its turnover and profits. The company's consolidated sales improved to €3.7bn, an increase of 19 per cent compared to the previous year, Derichebourg announced on Wednesday. The group's operating income climbed by 29 per cent to €167m, while its net result grew by 57 per cent to €96m in the twelve-month period ended 30 September 2011. Derichebourg's environment division, which encompasses the company's scrap recycling and waste management activities, made a major contribution to growth with a 27 per cent increase in turnover to €2.5bn and a 58 per cent jump in its operating income to €123m.
