Derichebourg’s environment division posts lower sales

|

In the first three quarters of the current financial year, the scrap recycling and environmental services division of French group Derichebourg recorded a 12 per cent decline in turnover compared to the same period one year before. The decrease in volumes and revenues was most pronounced in the ferrous scrap operations, which contributed €835m to the division’s turnover of €1.547bn, according to the quarterly financial report published last week.

In the current final quarter of its financial year, which ends on 30 September, Derichebourg expects activity levels in its recycling and environmental services business to remain moderate, in spite of positive market signals observed at the end of July.
