Dubai's crown prince opens first phase of Warsan wte plant

Earlier this week, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum attended the ceremonial opening of the first phase of a major waste-to-energy plant in the "Al Warsan" area of Dubai. When the plant is completed next year, it is to have a capacity of 2 million tonnes per year or around 45 per cent of the locally generated residual waste.

“The start of the operations of the Waste to Energy Centre in Warsan takes Dubai another step closer to achieving its strategy to create the world’s best sustainable ecosystem.
