Following last week's major fire at its Rozenburg waste-to-energy (wte) plant, Dutch company AVR presented a plan for dealing with some of its incoming waste shipments. For the next four weeks, the municipal waste that would otherwise have been treated at Rozenburg will instead be delivered to the "De Spinder" landfill in Tilburg, which is operated by Attero. "This solution means that, at least the next four weeks, the streets will remain clean," AVR said in a statement issued Wednesday. Attero clarified in response to EUWID that AVR waste being brought to the Tilburg landfill in the coming weeks would only be stored there temporarily, and that it would later undergo energy recovery....
