Stichting Open, the producer responsibility organisation (PRO) for e-scrap, lamps and batteries in the Netherlands, plans to issue an invitation to tender for a photovoltaic (PV) panel recycling contract in early June.
Companies will have an opportunity to submit expressions of interest on two lots. The majority of the material is to fall under lot 1 and is to be processed using fully mature technologies (full Technology Readiness Level). A smaller subset of the total volume has been assigned to lot 2 and is to be processed using innovative processing technologies requiring further development, perhaps at pilot-scale installations....
