The global fleet of waste incineration plants with energy recovery continues to expand. While a sluggish Chinese waste to energy (wte) market is putting pressure on domestic plant engineering companies, activity is picking up in central and south-east Asia. In Europe, the focus is gradually shifting to modernisation projects, but the construction of new-build plants is expected to continue in the south and east. These regional trends are outlined in the new market study "Waste to Energy 2025/2026" published by Cologne-based consultancy Ecoprog....
