EEW Energy from Waste achieved slightly higher waste throughput in 2025, building on the high capacity utilisation levels of the previous year. However, sales growth for Germany's largest operator of waste-to-energy (wte) plants was significantly slower than in 2024.
According to the annual report published by EEW’s Chinese parent group Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited (BEHL), the wte specialist increased throughput by 2 per cent at its 17 plants in Germany and neighbouring countries to around 5.18 million tonnes of waste last year....
