Plans for a new plastic film recycling facility are taking shape in the North East of England. The Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) announced on Monday that the company Endolys would install a pyrolysis plant at the site of the former Cleveland Bridge and Engineering Company works in Darlington.
The plant is to use continuous pyrolysis technology developed by the Chinese company Niutech Environment Technology Corporation. Niutech announced in September that it had signed a £22m contract to deliver a 60,000-tonne-per-year pyrolysis line for a British plastics recycling plant.
Endolys was registered as Pyrol Group Limited until the start of October. Recent months have brought other significant changes, including a change of ownership....
