British energy-from-waste (EfW) plant operator Enfinium has announced that it is moving to the next phase of its carbon capture and storage (CCS) pilot programme. It began efforts to demonstrate the use of the technology at its UK waste to energy (wte) facilities with the installation of a containerised unit at its Ferrybridge 1 Multifuel site in West Yorkshire which went into operation in September 2024. The equipment, supplied by Swiss green-tech company Kanadevia Inova, is now to be relocated to the company's Parc Adfer facility in North Wales.
