Essity plans to use less pulp and higher recovered paper grades in tissue production at its largest UK mill, Prudhoe. To achieve this, the company plans to replace the existing buildings and equipment for recovered paper processing with modern technology. The company has submitted a planning application to Northumberland Country Council to this effect. The planning decision is expected to be taken in the next few months....
