Faerch reports rising rPET volumes from Cirrec

Danish plastic packaging manufacturer Faerch is reporting further progress in its integrated recycling activities. Its Dutch subsidiary Cirrec has continued to expand its supply of recycled PET derived from trays (tray rPET) and has now reached an annual production capacity of around 27,000 tonnes of pellet that can be used entirely within the group, Faerch announced at the start of this week.

Cirrec officially opened its new recycling plant in Duiven in the Netherlands in spring 2024. It has an input capacity of 60,000 tonnes a year.

Faerch says that Cirrec is at the centre of its efforts to advance the transition to circularity by expanding its integrated recycling model. It "enables Faerch to turn post-consumer trays into new food-grade packaging, ensuring quality, security of supply, and true material circularity"....
