The German manufacturer of waste collection vehicles Faun has acquired French firm PB Environnement based in Lambesc near Aix-en-Provence. With the takeover, Faun said it would add small, lightweight collection vehicles with full aluminium bodies to its fleet as well as a range of compact street cleaning vehicles. Besides strengthening its market position, the new subsidiary would also expand its international service network, the German vehicle supplier noted.
Already completed at the end of July, the acquisition was carried out by French subsidiary Faun Environnement. Through the purchase of PB Environnement (formerly Provence Bennes), Faun expects its annual turnover on the French market to climb by €10m to €65m. Its workforce is to increase by 50 to a total of 350 employees, Faun reported.
