FCC reports strong Q1 performance on the back of new contracts

The Spanish conglomerate FCC boosted revenue by 9 per cent in the first quarter of 2022, due to strong performance, particularly in its environment division. The business area's activities, most of which comprise municipal waste management and other services for local authorities, secured a number of new contracts and contract renewals and booked turnover of €834m for the quarter, up 11 per cent against the prior-year period. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) climbed 12 per cent to €131m for the division.
