An early morning fire caused major damage at a sorting plant for waste packaging in the northern German city of Bremen on Wednesday. The facility, which processes up to 150,000 tonnes of packaging waste collected from households through Germany's "yellow bag/bin” system is operated by Sortierkontor Nord, a joint venture between the waste management companies Nehlsen and Prezero. According to a joint statement issued by the two companies, there is no information available as yet regarding the cause of the blaze or an estimate of the monetary damage....
