A pilot project demonstrating carbon capture from the high-temperature incineration of hazardous waste is up and running in Denmark. The project is located at a facility operated by Fortum Recycling & Waste in Nyborg. Its Norwegian parent company, NG Group, announced that a mobile pilot plant from the engineering firm SLB Capturi was inaugurated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site attended by Danish Climate Minister Lars Aagaard at the end of January.
