Underground waste containers for paper, PMD (plastic and metal packaging and drinks cartons), biowaste and residual waste in a Belgian street
Household plastic packaging waste is collected together with metal packaging and drinks cartons in the "PMD" bin in Belgium.

The Belgian commercial packaging compliance scheme Valipac and the the "Green Dot" system Fost Plus have reported record quantities of waste commercial and household packaging collected and recycled in 2024.
