Geminor: English RDF exports starting to level off

English exports of refuse-derived fuels (RDF) have dropped off considerably in recent year, shrinking to half their former size. While exports totalled around 3.2 million tonnes in 2018, they were only 1.5 million tonnes last year. Now, however, the end of the downtrend may  be nearing, says Geminor. The Norwegian commodity trader, whose subsidiary Geminor UK has been the largest exporter of British EBS exporters in each of the last three years, expects export volumes to stabilise in 2022.

We have seen a considerable change in the UK market since 2018", said Geminor UK's country manager, James Maiden. "The internal market has grown rapidly and new offtakers are taking a bigger share of the domestic volumes."...
