Heraeus indirectly acquires Indian PET recycler

German technology group Heraeus is entering the chemical PET recycling business in a big way with the acquisition of a majority stake in the firm Perpetual Technologies for an undisclosed price. Heraeus says this acquisition will drive its global expansion. As part of the takeover, the new subsidiary was renamed Revalyu Resources GmbH. "Revalyu is driven by innovation and fits perfectly into our portfolio,” said Jan Rinnert, chairman of the board of managing directors and CEO of Heraeus Holding GmbH.

The development finance institutions DEG from Germany and IFU from Denmark announced in April that they have provided long-term loans to Polygenta Technologies, a subsidiary of Perpetual Technologies. The loans are earmarked for the construction of two new recycling lines....
