From February 2013, customers of fashion chain H & M will be able to hand in used clothes in selected stores in the 48 countries were the group is active. For each bag handed in, customers will receive a voucher, H & M reported. Clothing from any brand and in any condition will be accepted.
“The collected clothes are then handled by H&M’s partner, I:Collect, which provides the infrastructure in which consumer goods are repeatedly reprocessed and made available for new use”, the company added. I:Collect AG, which is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, is a partner company of German textiles recycling specialist Soex.
