The Huhtamaki Foundation has begun operations at its first plastic recycling plant in India. Operations at the facility in Khopoli, Maharashtra, were inaugurated on 2 May, and as the plant became fully operational from the early part of this month, it would be able recycle around 1,600 kg of post-consumer flexible plastic waste per day, the foundation explained. The recycling plant was built at a cost of 90 million rupees (about €1.2m), according to the Finnish food packaging group....
