New PET recycling plants in India are being installed to meet the expected increase in demand for rPET in the coming years.

Polyester manufacturer Indorama Ventures Limited (IVL) and its subsidiaries IVL Dhunseri Petrochem Industries and Dhunseri Ventures have founded a joint venture in India with Varun Beverages. Through their cooperation, the companies plan to establish several PET recycling plants in that country.

Varun Beverages describes itself as one of the world's largest PepsiCo bottling companies outside the US. The planned PET bottle recycling plants are intended to meet the increasing demand for recycled PET (rPET) in India....
