The Italian environmental services company Iren Ambiente officially opened its new sorting centre "Recap" in Parma in early April. The facility has a permitted annual sorting capacity of up to 100,000 tonnes of recovered paper and 35,000 tonnes of plastic waste, according to its operator. Iren Ambiente reports that it has invested €24.5m to build the highly automated plant.
