Swiss waste to energy technology company Kanadevia Inova has acquired the British investor Iona Capital Limited (ICL). The transaction also includes ICL's portfolio of eleven renewable gas plants in the UK and a substantial pipeline of projects globally, the Swiss company said in its Tuesday announcement.
Historically, Kanadevia Inova has provided primarily business development, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), and plant lifecycle services. The transaction announced yesterday would enable the company to "accelerate the evolution" of its business, adding renewable gas plant ownership, management, and oversight activities through its "Asset Management" business unit, the company explained. This would bring the Swiss group "a step closer to its vision of becoming a global, vertically integrated green utility", while at the same time increasing the share of the business's recurrent revenues....
