Kanadevia Inova has announced that it will take over the operation and maintenance of the waste to energy (wte) facility in Dublin, Ireland from plant owner Encyclis. The Swiss environmental technology company, which formerly operated as Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), plans to acquire Encyclis Ireland Operations Ltd., the entity that runs the plant, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals. Formal completion of the contract is expected to take place in the summer.
The transaction would not affect Encyclis' ownership of the facility, Kanadevia Inova noted. Encyclis will retain its 50 per cent stake in the waste-to-energy plant; the remaining 50 per cent holding is owned by investors DIF Capital Partners and MEAG....
