Chemicals group LyondellBasell has received the first partial permit for the construction of its pyrolysis plant in Wesseling near Cologne in Germany. The relevant documents were published on 19 August on the German federal states' online portal for environmental impact assessments. Construction of the facility is already under way, LyondellBasell confirmed to EUWID.

Works were officially launched last September in the presence of then German chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD). Commissioning is still planned for 2026, the company said today....
