German plant technology supplier Martin GmbH für Umwelt- und Energietechnik (Martin) has established a UK business unit, which is operating as Martin Renewables Solutions Ltd (MRS). By opening a business in the UK, Martin said it could enhance its responsiveness for spare part deliveries while widening its portfolio of ongoing modernization and service activities, and guaranteeing on-site customer support throughout the service life of its technology.
"The foundation of our UK branch further expands our international network, allowing the Martin Group to suit our services even better to our customers' requirements," said the company in a statement issued on Wednesday.
Headed up by managing director Jean-Francois Brua, MRS will have its headquarters in Wardle, Cheshire, around an hour south of Manchester. The site will combine both office and warehouse facilities and will offer after-sales and modernization services, as well as store and deliverspare parts, in the UK. The plant engineering group intends for MRS to offer OEM tailor-made solutions for the complete combustion train (combustion system, boiler, flue gas treatment system) in close cooperation with its main offices in Munich and those of its flue gas subsidiary LAB in Lyon, France.
Martin names 47 plants using its grate technology in the United Kingdom in its list of reference projects, the oldest dating back to 1970.
