The Finnish technology firm Metso Outotec is embroiled in litigation with M+W High Tech Projects UK Limited (MWH) in connection with three energy from waste plants in the UK. In an announcement issued last week, Metso Outotec noted that ti is no longer active in the energy from waste business and that with the merger of Metso Minerals and Outotec in 2020, the group had designated its "waste-to-energy" operations as discontinued activities and no longer offered these solutions to customers. The Finnish industrial machinery group Metso spun off its mining machinery unit, Metso Minerals, and merged it with its smaller competitor Outotec in 2021. ...
