Morssinkhof building PP and PE recycling plant in Belgium

The Dutch recycler Morssinkhof Plastics is investing €30m in a new recycling facility in Belgium. The plant, which is being built in Lommel in the province of Limburg, is to recycle polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (HDPE) packaging waste, including bottles for milk, shampoo, detergent and shower gel. Most of this feedstock will come from the blue bags used by the Belgian packaging compliance scheme Fost Plus for household collections.

With a planned workforce of 65 employees, the new recycling plant will be one of five new centres located throughout Belgium, three of which are already up and running and processing plastic packaging waste from the Fost Plus scheme under its expanded "new blue bag" collections....
