NG Nordic has introduced a new traceability system under the name "Transparent Metal" as part of efforts to provide documented, auditable material flows across the recycling value chain.
The data reporting system links physical metals recycling streams with data captured continuously on origin, composition and processing history. This enables downstream remelting plants to verify the origin and quality of recycled raw materials at batch level rather than relying on aggregated reporting. It can be applied across a number of industrial material streams including mixed industrial metals, steel-based fractions, aluminium streams, high-value metal fractions and composite industrial material inputs, according to NG Nordic....
