A coalition of 30 NGOs, industry and civil society groups urged the European Commission last week to release the text of its proposal for a Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation on 30 November as originally planned. The signatories, among them Zero Waste Europe (ZWE), the European Environment Bureau (EEB) and the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (Euric), argue that the Commission should not delay the proposal’s official release despite the "significant outcry" by some industry stakeholders after a working draft was leaked in October....
