Paprec further expands waste to energy activities with the purchase of CNIM's EPC division

Concern awarded contract for large anaerobic digestion plant in Paris region

The French waste management group Paprec is strengthening its foothold in the waste-to-energy business. After acquiring the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities of the French engineering group CNIM last July, Paprec is now also buying that group's Environment and Energy Engineering, Procurement and Construction (E&E EPC) division. This business unit comprises CNIM's wte and biomass plants engineering and construction operations.

The Paris Commercial Court selected Paprec as the buyer from among the parties interested in acquiring the division in early April after CNIM entered receivership proceedings in January. Paprec did not disclose any further information regarding the financial aspects of the transaction....
