The waste management company Prezero Recycling is upgrading its sorting facility for waste glass in northwestern Germany. The firm said that it was investing approximately €15m in installing the latest separation technology, optimising filter technology, and improving infrastructure at the site in Petershagen-Lahde. The modernisation project is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, making significant improvements to the plant’s efficiency.
Once the work has been completed, the facility will be able to process around 180,000 tonnes of glass containers such as bottles and jars and 60,000 tonnes of flat glass each year. Prezero said that these materials would be turned into valuable recycled raw materials that can be reused in the glass industry....
