Progroup, a German producer of corrugated case material and corrugated sheets, started construction of a refuse derived fuel (RDF) power plant at its Sandersdorf-Brehna site near Leipzig, Germany, in March. The RDF-fired power station is being built next to the Sandersdorf-Brehna paper mill, home to the 750,000 tonnes a year paper machine 3 installed in 2020, and will supply process heat and electricity to the mill.
