Reconomy strengthens presence in North America with the acquisition of Lincoln

Reconomy has also made acquisitions in Denmark, Germany and the UK in recent months.

Reconomy, the parent company to the British packaging compliance scheme Valpak, announced the acquisition of US company Lincoln Waste Solutions early this week. This is the British group's first US take-over, according to Reconomy, which says the transaction will provide a platform to accelerate its growth in North America.

Lincoln Waste Solutions is headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut, and "provides a comprehensive full-service management approach to handle all types of waste" through its recycling, waste consulting, hauler management and back office support services, according to Reconomy....
