In Europe, recovered paper collection volumes as well as the paper industry’s consumption of recovered paper both declined in 2022, according to annual statistics from the Confederation of European Paper Industries (Cepi). In the 18 countries represented by the umbrella association, collection volumes were down by 5 per cent to 52.6 million tonnes.
